International Film Distribution is the leading distributor of Arabic & foreign films in the MENA region. The company has built a fast growing brand by acquiring high quality content and becoming a respected player at many of the worldwide markets and film festivals including Cannes, the European Film Festival (Berlinale), the American Film Market, the Toronto Film Festival and the Cairo Film Festival.

Nowadays, IFD is a proud partner of the Kuwait National Cinema Company and Front Row Filmed Entertainment - Dubai. The Kuwait National Cinema Company (KNCC), and its brand Cinescape, was founded on October 5th, 1954. It began acquiring and distributing films in the early stages of its inception, making It the first exhibitor and distributor in the Gulf region to acquire Arabic, English and Indian films. With over 60 screens across 12 locations, KNCC is the industry leader in the cinema and entertainment landscapes in the State of Kuwait. In 2005, KNCC partnered with Front Row Filmed Entertainment, a renowned independent film distributor and powerhouse in the MENA region that was established in 2003.

In 2007, the Kuwait National Cinema Company decided to branch off its distribution and acquisition arm and created International Film Distribution (IFD). In 2011, AlKout cinematic production - Egypt became part of this alliance by effectively spearheading the IFD Arabic production arm.

While it is a separate entity today, IFD and KNCC share a strong relationship and play prominent parts in each other’s core strategies. IFD has always strived and will continue to bring the world the best in entertainment.
